This piece is part of a new body of work reimagining classical forms as contemporary artifacts.
I bring a fairly playful approach to the design and construction of these pieces, this particular form plays on the idea of handles as a design element that straddles the line between functional and decorative.
Finished with a combination of my handmade glazes that have been developed to complement and accentuate the natural iron in the clay.
